A peaceful domestic setting. The calm of old age. A man and a woman: two elderly people keeping each other company. They are the only witnesses to their existence, which is not meant to last. Euridice dies. The balance ends. The individual splits in two parts. Confined to a retirement home, alone among strangers, Orfeo retreats into memory, where the past becomes both refuge and labyrinth. Forgetting loss, he imagines an escape to recover his love, crossing from institutional calm into a distorted world of nature and modern urban chaos. He finds Euridice fragmented as well, but what is recovered cannot be returned. Forced to look back, Orfeo accepts life and death, orders his memories, and finally surrenders to the end.
